Hello to everyone. I am making a web site that will have information about different kind of services, kind of yellow pages, in which people can go and find information about services. I do not know how i can make an internal search engine. Do i have to make a data base? Is there any good manual so i can read and do this project? Thank you a lot and i appreciate any help..

you can ask google... but you must have some knowledges...

so, you do need a database but you can make a file_search_engine witch is not recommended [slow and bad for the server and for the user]. You need to know how to interrogate a database and how to use the mysql SELECT...WHERE `field` LIKE "%word%"
