I'm looking to add a box on my site that provides related industry news. I'm not sure what this would be called but I have been researching News Management Systems and they seem to be something that you type in articles and then publish them.

What I want is something that I can enter a list of RRS feeds and then set it up so that I can scan the RRS feeds for specific keywords. If those keywords are found in the article, then I will show that article on my site.

It is important to me that I can specify the news RSS feeds because I want to make sure that I get Canadian content and the keywords are important because I want to make sure it is relevant news.

Can anyone please point me to a simple script that I can include into my pages?

Take a look at Magpie rss (A PHP rss Parser) http://magpierss.sourceforge.net/

It takes the information in an RSS and converts it to an array (this makes for easier use for beginners at php).

This is possible, but need some work !
If you know php programming, you can load the fee as text file, and search for keywords with strpos, then when you found the position of keyword, some more work to get the correspondant rss new.
If you are not a php programmer, post your project for freelancer ( may found a link in sig )
