Hello all!
I am brand new to the site and hope to start seeing many of you more often. I hope I am placing this post in the right area. Please forgive me if not but this seems to be the best fit.
I am looking to change the effect of one of my clients current sites web form. The site is currently on a Linux box and the form is pl. My question is is fold.
1. Is it possible and if so how to use the visitors email address that they place in the web form as the "From" address when issuing the form to the recipient?
2. Also is it possible to create 2 email address fields in the form, prevent copy/paste in both fields, and when you move from the first field it hides the text the visitor just entered?
Justification...
I will be enabling spam checks on the recipients mailbox that will give an SMTP 550 if the user is unknown. I would like to have the visitor confirm their email address to minimize user error.
I have looked into 2 pl forms..
form2email and the nms formmail
I am far from being able to quickly point out parts in code and such but from what i have noticed I do not see this ability by default. Is there a way to call the test that was entered in the field. would I need to push the forms to a db (mysql) and then pull the data back from the db.. im rambling now.. direction please
Reason this is in the PHP forum is because the "contact us" page is php
Thanks in advance peeps
