Hi everyone I am fixing to buy the social network platform phpfox and i would like to customize the platform to my specs and that includes doing alot of php i want to design mods for the platform and i am trying to do it by myself (the mods that are already made can be pricey) can anyone help me with this i need to know for example is there a program for this sort of thing that would make my life easier and i would still have some hair?

PHP coding is typically done by hand. I use Dreamweaver, which has some shortcuts and reminders that help you code, and reminds you of the proper order to put your arguments, but it isn't very helpful without a base of knowledge already. I suggest you start studying up, as there are many tutorials available online. Have you done programming before?

yes i have programmed before but it was very small stuff and it was a while back I took your advice though and went to my local bookstore and bought learning php5 by o'reilly

That's probably a good place to start. You may also want to check out some online resources: php.net, w3schools.
