Hey guys, thanks for the great forum. I have a dedi server with 1and1 and would like to have xmlrpc enabled as I am using it quite extensively and do not like having to include it every time I wish to use it.

How would I go about setting it up? I have tried editing the php.ini file but I have a few of them and am unaware which one to change, also on top of this do I need to install the source itself?

Hmm, thanks for that mate. My problem is that I have no idea how the hell I am meant to compile PHP. I have looked around at quite a few pages but whenever I search for anything with XMLRPC in it I seem to get the same websites that have been around for ever but which also seem to have little info of help to me.

Any words on how to actually do this would be very much appreciated.

And what has not knowing how to compile PHP got to do with running a server? We run two dedicated Linux boxes as webservers, but I'm not about to start compiling PHP or Apache just for the fun of it.

I suppose that you at least know anyone who can compile php. And I also suppose that it is rather stupid to rent an unmanaged server neither having no basic knowledge how to handle it, nor having somebody to help.
