Im looking to create a web community with a forum in .php.

The only problem is I have no experience with php nor in communities.

The site I want it to be like (other than offering videos) is www.roosterteeth.com

If anyone has any good tutorials or anything that will help me in achieving my goal please let me know.

A little patience. You have to gives us more than a half hour or so to respond.

If you don't know how to code that kind of site yourself you're left with two options. The first would be to hire someone who can, which I'm guessing isn't the way you wanted to go.

The second is to look for open source applications that already do what you want or most of what you want. You may still need to hire someone to customize the applications or connect them to each other.

There actually is a third option which is learning php and a database and whatever else you would need to make the site work.

I don't know all the functionality contained in the site you linked to, but a quick glance made me think of a blog and a shopping cart. You can find free applications for both. My personal recommendation for a blog is WordPress. WordPress also has plugins to add shopping cart features. Depending on what you want you may prefer to use a more full featured shopping cart.

Free applications are out there if you search. There will still be work involved in setting things up, but it will be far less than having to build an application from scratch.

What im looking for in the site I posted is the community based and forum based part. as well as the blog but that will be for staff and moderators.

I want people to be able to create a profile (like myspace but not the same features, just an example) and the forum will cover everything. Like a mass community with a place to express your ideas and talk about anything.

Why do you want to do it on your own? Why not use one of the softwares used by thousands of others?

Yeah, um. Why reinvent the wheel. There are tons of open source projects out there that already do what you're looking for.
