I downloaded PHPKImageHost and uploaded it to my server. When I go to it everything shows up just fine, but when I upload an image and go to view it, it takes me to error 404: not found page, and it says its on the site but you cannot view it.

Are all the CHMOD permissions set correct for uploading?

Also check that your host isn't blocking the script, sometimes hosts need to change permissions on accounts to ensure the uploading of images correctly. I've had this with Hostgator before.

Im a newb at this. I know what the CHMOD, well ive heard it before.

Where do I look for this setting, and also how would I know if the host is blocking the script?

If you go in to your FTP software, and right click on the folder and all the files (highlight them all together) and right click and look for something like File Attributes or File Permissions, and check that they are all CHMOD'd (set at) 777.

If you're unsure how to do this, open the Help file of your FTP client and do a quick search for "changing file permissions."

I did this and its still doing the same thing.

Also in IE when I upload a file, on the process page, all I get is "File uploaded successfully" other than the link to the file and everything else.

Files are still doing the same, I have updated my php settings to 5.8.2 and the problem still persists.

I have also turned register_globals off, and still nothing. Not sure what to do.
