I have to develop a website like pumphousenutrition, and would like to know how much it would cost and an estimate of time it would take to create a website like that. Including shopping cart, payments processing, SSL etc. I think the site is made with Joomla.

Depends on what hoster they have, what software you use (if any), where they get there SSL from, how detailed the page(s) are, ect...

You could use open source cart software and design a black text on white bg page and sell it for a few hundred bucks.

I'm not sure you really meant to say “develop”. Developing a PHP shopping cart solution of your own means knowing PHP and your database type through and through. There are so many security issues involved, that even if you manage to make your solution functional, you still need considerable amount of time to make sure it's safe by testing.

What you really want is a free Open Source e-commerce solution that you can customise to your particular needs. If you want SSL you'll have to either choose a webhost that offers shared SSL or you'll have to buy your own SSL certificate and install it.

If you know what you are doing it could take you from 2 to 4 weeks to customise a free e-commerce site. If you don't know much about it, it'll probably take you a few months to make it work properly and also look good and consistent.
