I am not sure where to post this inquiry, but I thought I would try here, any help whatsoever would be GREATLY appreciated.

I was wondering how one would be able to code a page to have thumbnail pictures, where someone clicks on them, and a new popup menu would dropdown. That might sound confusing, but here are two examples of existing websites of what I would like to do:

Click on a thumbnail image, and you will see that a dropdown php or .asp window comes down and pictures that then can be browsed easily.

I looked at the code for each site, but didn't really see any obvious scripts on how to do it.

If you could please steer me in the right direction of how I could get started on making dropdown windows similar to the websites listed above, I would be in your debt.

For my page I am building, I don't necessarily want all of them to be picture galleries, but more so just dropdown windows with information in them.

They are using the pre-made script LightBox 2. I'm not sure if you can put regular content on them, but just for clarification, the little dropdown effect uses JavaScript.
