Hi guys, I am currently running a cms built in php which allows me to add very simple php based custom pages.

I would like to use a wordpress blog to post updates on the site and effectively run as a news section. However I don't want it to be run away from the main site.

Therefore I am wondering if it's possible to simply embed wordpress in a PHP page. Similarly to how you could use an iframe in HTML.

Anyone got any pointers?

Why don't you just install WordPress in a "news" folder?

so these would be part of your other CMS:

/index.php
/someotherpage.php

while these would be part of wordpress:

/news/2009/02/01/newsitem1
/news/2009/02/01/newsitem2
/news/2009/02/01/newsitem3

See what I mean?

I see what you mean - but that wouldn't intergrate the two...

Why don't you just migrate completely to WP and add your php pages to it?
