Actually i need to make session time out for 4hrs or unlimited. I used several methods. But no change in session timeout. What to do???

If you want "unlimited" time, you should probably use a cookie instead.

A 100% cookie solution could be a little insecure. A MySQL based solution would the be best. Essentially, just set a cookie which points to the users data in a database.
