Multiple Languages required in a ecommerce store(manual coding)

Hello,

I am in the phase of opening a ecommerce store, now I am struck at this, we require multiple languages in our store, mainly European languages.

I have done some research on this, and came to the conclusion, that all the 11 - 12 languages will be manually written.

Is it the only way, or is there some software which can help me?

Would highly appreciate your help.

Regards

Sadly, yes..

Living in Switzerland (where we have 3 official languages) I can assure you that no software can grasp all the finesse of a language.
You will need translators to convert those text to you...

Add Italian for the southest part of the country, and you will have them.
Although Swiss speaks a different German than in Germany (and even germans cannot understand it....) the text are always in Hochdeutsch (good german).

So usually, the corporate sites in Switzerland are in German, Italian, French and English.

That's amazing, when I was in Switzerland, it was like most of the people were able to understand English, but when we move away from the big cities, like Zurich etc., then it's hard, for example, in Davos, you will find less people speak English, same was the case in Sargans, even in Landquart!!

Anyway, thanks for your help, and I must say, you are leaving in real HEAVEN!!

Tripy, sorry to bother you, but are you aware of any good designer here on this forum or out of the forums, I am desperately searching for one.

Sorry, but no.

My league is almost exclusively programming (PHP, python) and DB.
I had no contact with a designer (that I'm aware of) here until now.

True.
English being out of the usual learning in the mandatory school system (Germans learn French, French learns German, and Italians learn German and French), English is usually tied with high schools and / or job field.

My field had me having English courses, but playing talkies adventure games in the 80's/90's had already teached me English.
My teachers wheren't even bothering asking me questions.
