Hey everyone

I didn't see a subsection for scripts so ill post it here. Anyone know of a good php script which could be used for a baby names database. I am aware of the common scripts available on google.

Any suggestions?

do you need database interaction, where are the baby names coming from? more info would help.

I am looking for a PHP based script that allows the following:

1. Uses a mySQL database which holds all baby names, meanings, origin, etc.
2. Allows users to register.
3. Allows users to save favorite baby names.
4. SEF URLs
5. Search function.
6. Ability to create a baby name: ie you find a first name you like and prepend it to your own last name.
7. A details page per baby name.

Basically, if someone knows of a decent script that might not have anything to do with baby names but would work for this application I would be interested as I can modify it.

Right off, I dont know anything that can do that, other than creating a script to complete all this.

Something close... but ($$$)

http://www.buymyscripts.net/2/Baby_n...d_content.html

and only 'admins' can add baby names

or, if you were up to it you could use this site... http://www.listofbabynames.org/

and create a script to crawl the baby names on the site and add it to your own database, then doing what you wanna do would only be a few hours of coding. (aesthetics not included)
