I run a website for a Mixed Martial Arts event out of Las Vegas. I am currently using Joomla (http://www.tuffnuff.net) but want to make some changes / add some features.

I guess I need a premade CMS because honestly I don't know enough yet to build a complete one all on my own.

Features: I want a news / magazine style layout so I can have more news on the front page. Right now I don't care for the layout of the news.

I did a little programming to create the FIGHTER PROFILE section. Basically I fill out a quick form w/their information and their name is then added to the FIGHTER PROFILE. I'd like to have a section on their page that says "FIGHTER BLOG" and link to their blog (which is either a part of my site or is displayed on my site via RSS).

I hope to have a video library eventually along with a photo gallery, and even basic shopping cart for selling DVD's.

suggestions please?

For a CMS? Drupal. It sounds fantastic for what you're trying to accomplish. It's robust, it's flexible, and it's extremely easy to add extra content nodes.

Drupal is powerful but has a very steep learning curve

You need to know your CSS and PHP to get the best out of it but you might get away without knowing PHP to an extent. I advise that you start learning PHP

You will need lots of coffee, lock yourself in a room with the beast for a good few weeks
