Im not quite sure what you mean? Do you want to display a message and then redirect or display a message after redirect?

I'm not sure that this is a PHP question. You can use <meta http-equiv="REFRESH" content="5;url=http://www.the-domain-you-want-to-redirect-to.com"> and that will redirect you after 5 seconds. You can put the text you want anywhere on the page and it will still redirect you after 5 seconds.
