I have a friend who has a blog on blogspot. He wants his blogspot blog to display on his website.

What is the best way to go about doing this?

He might be able to grab his own rss feed if there is one being generated and put it on the other website?

What do you use for grabbing an RSS feed? I did a search and came across several pay scripts.

open the blogger dashboard -> settings -> publishing -> set up FTP to publish to your own server.

I tried that but the layout is the exact same as it is on the blogger website. Can I make it a part of my layout somehow?

You have to clarify a bit. Does your friend want to display selected posts from the blog while keeping that blog where it is located? In other words, he wants to grab the 'text' only(without the styling, images, etc.) and incorporate that text content into his layout on the other website?
(An example is like how people sometimes display their recent tweets from their twitter account on their own web page.)

Basically he wants to display his blog on his website almost like it was News. If he posts pics in that blog entry, he would like that displayed on the site. I think he would like it to fit in his site though as if the content wasn't being pulled from somewhere else.

Does that make more sense?

Basically, it will pull that data from the rss feed so you can display it any way you want on a different site. It will be a little complicated if you've never done this stuff before.

I use Wordpress, so I am not too familiar with blogger. You may find many other similar articles, that should get you going in the right direction though.

I'm new to web development. How would I build or put together a blog or website to get input from hosts? I plan to mostly have votes like on sports outcomes ect. Is there a way to do this in a blog (probably not from what I understand of blogs) If not how to I put together a site to have multiple votes on a page and seperate them by sport? Once I get a domain how do I get user input and display results.
