i am going to try to add some dynamic features to my static websites using php , im just a newbie right now, but is there a list somewhere of things you can add to a webpage with php? should i just google "things you can do with php"? any more ideas greatly appreciated. thanks. derek

please any helpl appreciated. just some guidance on where to start learning, i dont know what i should learn as a php developer. eventually i do want to make a shopping cart for a website. but other than that, i dont know what i should learn. especially to get a job .

PHP is a scripting language syntax, and it can do a lot. You can visit www.php.net and read the documentation for finding out all the available built-in functions and methods it provides. The list you link to above is nothing more than a collection of written php scripts. There is really no limit of what you can do other than your creative mind. The sky's the limit.

ok thank you very much. i guess i will have a better idea when i start making common applications of php. and then maybe ill learn to make something new. it was suggested to me by some people that i make some common applications of php first , so thats what ill try to do. or decide on something that i want on my static sites, and look up tutorials on how to do it. i just didnt know that i first had to decide what i wanted, rather than just blindly doing tutorials of this and that. but that is awesome that you said the only limit is your creativity, thats very inspiring. i cant wait to learn more than i know. thanks. derek

no offence, but you really need to solidify an idea first, then come back to post help on THAT idea.
