OK sorry. little vague my self

I have a flash widget that is reuqired to update a mysql db. We are trying to add some security so as unknown persons cant simply update the db them selfs.

It was suggested that crossdomain.xml would assist although having looked into more i dont think it will lol

So i suppose my question is what is the best way to secure db updates from a flash movie
