Im creating a web app where I want a person to be able to modify a preset message and post it to his facebook status from our site.

In exchange for the promo post (which he can fully edit) the php system will re-direct him to a download.

Ive got all the php code in place, but cant seem to find a quick and easy solution for integrating the facebook connect part to the site.

I basically just want an image they can click that says "post this to facebook", that then shows them a text box and allows them to post a status update that we pre-suggest and they can edit.

Anyone got any resources you can point me towards?

unless facebook has an api exposed then i dont think you will be able to do it

From what I know, you have to integrate facebook connect and then use their 'Stream.Publish' using an onclick event on your site which will take care of the pop up.

It's not too hard. Use their "widget" once you start their FB Connect wizard that allows them to click to "connect" then search their wiki for "stream.publish".
