I have a client who is looking for options for processing the data that is submitted through their online site. Right now it is being emailed to them but they want a system that will allow them to download it as well for backup purposes and something to make it easier to manage. They receive a heavy volume of online form submissions daily (50-500 depending on the day). I was wondering what are some of the options available for this and if anyone has any favs or suggestions.

I found a site that seems to do what they are looking for but it is pricey (logiforms.com). Just curious if there are any cheaper solutions.

Thanks all!

When I have clients that want some control over their forms I have used formspring and really found it easy for clients to configure. You can drop it right in your page like normal, forms are saved in a database, and a lot more.

The simplest would be to save the form in a database.
They would be able to consult it online, and maybe even bulk process them, and the backup would be very simple to implement.

Not a lot of work, if you know what you are doing.

Hi Chris, this is very common. I would say it depends on the volume. With what I'm used to dealing with, 100 records per day is not really alot. In this case, its likely that a web interface for your submitters is best. I would consider having it drop the records in a holding area where they can first be reviewed to ensure all values required for processing are present, then push it into your database.

In cases of large volumes of records, you can either have your interface allow copy/pasting from say Excel or build an uploader designed to work with a specific Excel template.

Regardless, I would go for a method which provides the users the easiest experience and yourself the fewest headaches via automation.

If you need more help, let me know. You can send me an email directly at nubis2121@yahoo.com
