So, a new project I am wanting to start is somewhat similar to Digg, but with a twist. Just hear me out.

http://www.kubelabs.com/phpdug/ is a script somewhat similar to what I am looking for, and I may end up using it and modifying it as needed.

Basically, if you like a post or particular item posted you can (for the sake of this example) "Digg It", but I would also like the option to "Not Digg it" which gives a negative value. Although all negative and positive values ads to the popularity of said items.

For the sake of example again: The iPad. Some people are pumped, some are not. Digg doesn't have the option of not liking it.

The site I am trying to create will be accessible to everyone, no membership required. Anyone can like or dislike an particular item, where logged in members can comment as well or keep track of their history on the site.

Does anyone know of a script available, whether commercial or free that is capable?

The link provided above is the closest thing I have seen. If nothing else is close or a better option, then i'll be modifying the existing code for the one posted.

Thanks!

You could check out Reddit.com. I think they offer their source code for free (don't know if it's in PHP though). On Reddit you can Like/Dislike.
