Hey everyone,

I've searched, and haven't found anything that really fits my needs. I own a website I am trying to develop that will feature rural land listings and acreage available for sale by the owners of said land. I just want to develop a gateway of putting potential buyers in contact with people who are selling land, either on contract, through an agent, etc.

I just want users to be able to add and modify their listings, which is something I don't see in any of the "off the shelf" real estate listing scripts. Some sort of listing moderation would be needed, or perhaps the listings could only be approved by myself after submission (instead of automatically listing it).

Anyone have any advice? I do know that its unlikely a free script is available for this, but even the paid commercial scripts don't seem to have this.

How hard would it be to implement a feature like this, and how much do you think one would have to pay (estimate) to have this feature made for a already made real estate listing script?

Curtis, I've been doing some work lately for Realtors, and I tell you this is coming. I don't know of anything available out now other than some CMS, which would have to be modified for you.

Your not interested in cron, or MLS correct? Let me know I may be able to help.

Estimate? I would say a decent developer should charge roughly 300$

I may look into having a CMS modified for me then. I have tested out a few Wordpress plugins (who would of thought WP would of had Real Estate plugins?), and I have seen some for Joomla that I haven't tested out.

If I can find something that is close to what I want, then perhaps I will shoot you a PM to see if you, or if someone you refer, could create the features I am after.

If you already have a website in place, I wouldn't imagine developing a script of this type would be a massive job, PM me with a bit of info of your requirements and I can probably help you out.

Curtis. I am using a slightly modded craigslist clone type of script to do something like this at ckhs dot com. I have it configured in a fairly complicated manner but it could be done more simply.

I think I paid about $50 for the script.
