Im am not sure if I asked or mentioned the correct title but I want to know what would be the best Forum engine or platform that I can use for my planned PSP Games forum. VBulletin, PHBB, SMF etc.

If you have money then go for vbulletin.Its perfect for gamer.

Otherwise if you want for free then best would be smf
that has similiar lookalikes like vb and has lots of hooks and plugns to add.For free.Its fast and easy and a nice look and admin panel.

Regarding phpbb3,its good but problem iz that administration wud be confusing in phbb3 and its slower than smf...Due to m0re nesting,tables and overheads....

Other than these three,all other are a less favour for perfect gaming forum..Vb wud be best. Smf comes second and phpbb3 3rd.

Got to agree with Buzz, I use vb and smf, both good boards, phpbb seems to be the most often hacked board out there so would give that a miss.

vbulletin is used for majority of forums i have ever been on, seems good. so perhaps give that ago

I agree too, vBulletin if you afford it. SMF is really good though, another forum I go on regularly are using v2 and it's very nice to use.
