Not sure if this is the right place to post - sorry if it's wrong!

I want to set up a subscription button with paypal. After ploughing through the documentation I am quite ready to admit defeat - this is too complicated for me. I cannot understand what IPN is, how to set it up, or what to do with it once set up.

I simply want a button which says "subscription" and when the payment is received the customer gets a username and password which allows them to access to an html page with a lot of download links.

I can make html pages, set up normal buy now paypal buttons, can create databases in mysql and can even produce some very simple php pages, but I cannot do this. My head hurts.

Can anyone help me please - and how much will it cost me?

I know this is not an answer to your question, but I'm attaching a script I modified for EWP (Encrypted Web Payments) that uses OpenSSL. You will need to define the needed constants.
