hi every one,

few years ago i knew Html but when php become, i couldnt learn it,

i dont know any thing about it, i saw it very complicated,
i think its not much complicate that i think and maybe if i learn it in right way maybe this be easy,

i think for php site i need php and database,
wich program are good ? dreamweaver for php writing and what for dabase?

i wanna start with one simple form, that user fill it and it store in DB,
or one Search for that form,

this is very hard?

i wanna start and i really want to learn, there are pdf? or what?
in html many things are graphical and its not just code, in php which program its like this?

I learned most of the php i know by reading a lot of php books, and going to websites like the ones above, it took me a while to figure a lot of it out but once it starts sinking in it will be easy.

most famous db server is mysql. it is easy to learn and doesn't need special program to write it is just embedded in php functions

dreamweaver is good to write both php code and build up the design in html/css or whatever
but you will need to upload files after that to your server for running. dreamweaver is just an editor not a compiler or interpreter

Netbeans PHP version is very good and its free!

You can find a ton of youtube videos online that visually teach the basics of PHP.

I have been playing with PHP designer 7, it was developed by one guy and is very very good, imo.

Im not sure if he now has a free version avalible however even the purchase cost isnt much.

You can intergrate the css, html, mysql and php manuals into it, it tracks your variables, classes, functions etc and will warn you of parse errors etc as you type (kind of like ms word does with spelling).

As for MySQL, the official mysql site has a developer program that super seeds the older program called db designer. you can connect to your database server and edit, create, drop etc tables without messing with php myadmin or similar.

I like netbeans as well.. I have used Zend for a long time, but now that I am doing a lot of Java I have just moved everything into netbeans (6.9).

On a side note, I would suggest buying some nice books.. You can learn online but sometimes books which tend to be a bit more detailed make things a little easier to learn.. This coming from a guy who programs in 5 different languages lol.

I used Macromedia MX, now I use NetBeans with DBDesigner 5. You can download NetBeans for PHP.
