Can someone please tell me how to achieve this: I want to be able to have guests leave reviews on the products I sell on my website. I want the reviews to show up on my website under the product, similar to amazon.com (when you click on the product you can scroll down to read reviews and you can fill out a review form that will post right away.) What type of scripting would I need to learn? Is it PHP? Is there a tutorial or somewhere I should start to learn how to do that.

Also, would this same scripting be what I would use if I want to let customers login and have their own profile, etc on the website?

Yes it could be PHP (there are many you could use).

However it is quite an advanced system you are looking to build with zero experience.

You will want your PHP to send and recieve from a mySQL database to store information.

You can simply take any old commenting script and edit it so that you can have bold, italic, urls, images... That sort of stuff
