Hey I installed XAMPP today which includes the service Apache and mysql. However every time I try to start Apache the window always freezes. Also when I try to start Apache through SCM I get a error message saying Apache cannot start and refer to the service specific error code 1. Everytime I try to setup Apache I get error cannot find the path specified.

Anyone have any idea whats going on?

open Skype -> Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Connections -> Uncheck "Use port 80 and 443 as alternatives for incoming connections"


or B:

Change the Apache listen port in httpd.conf to 8080 and restart Apache.

Glad your problem is solved, I had the same issue and the conflicting program was uTorrent which also used port 80.
