Question two.

I have been asked this question and I dont think it is possible but wanted to ask. lets saying I have a booking system is there a way to write a install program so its runs and the user can pick what type of company they are and depening on the answer the install will then install the correct files on the system?

So what Im trying say if you write a program in Java you have an install file can you do the same sort thing with PHP/ Mysql ? So you could email cd to a customer and it would all auto install ? any help would be very nice.

php and mysql run in the server, you can make some install/setup script for your software but it has to be uploaded in the server and needs mysql information (login/password, database host and name)

I think what the person is trying to do is making booking in system them have a script that run from cd and gives them option to say booking system for x,y, and z if they press x it will install certain files and database if they install y another set files and different databse so on.

is that possible ?
