I think do not expect to complete more than the performance of PHP6 PHP5,
It is possible that the execution efficiency of PHP6 will also come over PHP5 completely,
But it can be expected that PHP development team would be efforts to improve the PHP6.
what is your opinion?

PH6 beyond PH5 must be proved by truth, rather than analysis of some data and listen to propaganda.
vista and XP is the best example.

I think PHP6 is something they put a lot of advertising dollars into, with intent to sell it to the masses.

It will not be much different than PHP5, because PHP5 was a PHP4 wannabe

Anybody who knows anything about Bangladesh knows that.

Heck, some webmasters are currently employing entire families in the filipines for 4 dollars an hour... can you say "Geographical Arbitrage"?

yeah, it's a cruel world man.

I think PHP6 is going to eat PHP5 alive, and then it's going to be "all the rage" to abandon PHP5 and start using PHP6... just like the hype behind *Nix (which cant catch viruses) you shouldn't believe it.

In fact, if your grandmother comes over for supper, remind her that grandpa is dead... he's not coming back, and the same will be said of PHP5 when PHP6 comes to town.

Thank you, Doctor Stupid.

I've never seen an advert for PHP5 or PHP6. The fact that The PHP Group does not actually sell PHP probably limits their ability to advertise.

There were some very significant changes from PHP4 to 5. Incidentally, you're correct that PHP6 won't be that much different from PHP5, but only because many of the changes that were supposed to be included in PHP6 were released and are now available in PHP 5.3.x

Hiring people at ridiculous rates has very little to do with PHP. PHP just happens to be a very popular language, especially when it comes to smaller sites, which are usually the ones looking for cheap labor. In the end you can't escape the fact that you get what you pay for.

I think we will see something similar to what is going on right now with the transition from PHP5.2.x to PHP5.3.x. There are a lot of changes that are not backward compatible with PHP5.2.x, meaning that all of the software written under PHP5.2.x potentially has an entirely new set of bugs to deal with. The transition is occurring, but many people are (rightfully) reluctant to upgrade considering their existing code may break.

The transition may be even slower to PHP6. Many of the things that were only deprecated in PHP5.3 are completely removed from PHP6.

This thread may shed some light on the situation:
