MW Chat room MySQL error

Hi i need some help im using a freeware chat room script and its having some sort of error, i set all the permissions for all the files to 777, which i think is the most. you can see what happens here, http://wmtalk.freesuperhost.com/chat/ just try to login as any one and it says some meaningless junk to me.... any help would be appreciated.

Well, the script can'T seem to connect to the MySQL database. Make sure you have one (MySQL DB) and that the username and password for it are correct. If you want more help, post some code. We'll need to see something tangible to help you out.

um i dont know what code to post since thers over 100 files, i used the code from mw chat you can download it here should only take a couple of seconds.

here is line 6
$CONN = mysql_connect("$szHost:$szPort", $szUser, $szPass);

Download it here, http://www.appindex.net/products/detail/?product=mwchat , make sure im doing everything right, i dont think i did.

i think you need to reinstall mysql because somehow the mysql connection file got currupted/deleted

Looking at the database connection script you posted, it seems there must be a config.php file in there or similar, in which you must add your database login details to.

You need to report this to your web host. It seems their mySQL socket file is missing or corrupt. Only they can fix this error.

nm i dont think hes right, i attached the install.txt file but its in "web" talk so i cant understand it,

1. Do i have to create a database?
2. Where do i put it if so?
3. Can sombody make one for me?
4. I just uploaded all the files to http://wmtalk.freesuperhost.com/chat/ do i have to do anything else?
5. has anyone ever used this before?

Does your host actually support MYSQL? After all it is a free host, and only a handfull support it.

Even if they support it, they still have to create a database and set the right permissions on it.
wmtalk - just send an email to your sysadmins asking them whether you have one already, and if so how you connect, or if you don't , and if so can they set one up?

Ok, at freeprohost or freesuperhost the value for host is not localhost (which i presume you have it at) it's freeprohost.com
