i`m going to build an ebook organizer to be used in internal network

the script will based on mySQL, PHP 5

what is the best way to make it read pdf and get thumbnail of selected page i need ?

and is there any method to make it read the PDF or CHM to check the ISBN ?

finally what is the requirements or suggestion to make it powerful in organizing

should i use one of php frameworks such as php cake, zend framework, yii ??

http://uk3.php.net/manual/en/book.pdf.php has the info you need. There's no simple method to get ISBN - you have to obtain text and search it.
