I want to create social video sharing site – like youtube.


I’m looking for free CMS for this and found several (phpmotion, clipbucket and many more).


All these CMS require to have video converting scripts running on a server (ffmpeg, mencoder, and flvtool2) – these are scripts that shared hosting don’t allow to execute.


I’m looking for a video sharing CMS which doesn;’t require these scripts.

Anyone can recommend?

I would've thought all video sites would require some kind of server side scripting for video conversion.

Head on over to hotscripts.com and see what they've got over there.

Buy some real hosting which does allow it in that case.

You'll soon get kicked off shared hosting with such a site anyway.
