Hey folks,

I am working on a site where I let people post similar to Twitter. When I pull the text from the database I just output it, but I want to automatically make any links into hyperlinks.

Is there an easy way to do this?

I am going to make a few changes to it so that it automatically converts @twittername into a link as well but other than that it does the trick.

Make sure you do something like Facebook, where it doesn't just send the user to that link, but shows a page with a warning for a few seconds to warn the user of phishing attempts and that he is leaving the site...
