Hey Guys,

I just had an idea and thought I would share it with the community and see what your opinions were.

Seeing as there are a lot of advanced PHP guys out there, and quite a few on this forum.

Would it be possible for some of you guys to set up a thread or something which is updated weekly giving learners a set challenge for them to accomplish in PHP.

This could start at an extremely simple level and get harder so even if somebody joins at week 15 or something, they may start from week 1 and see how we progressed?

I have had somewhat a similier idea in mind, but never acted on it. I think I might go ahead a do it.

I would be extremely interested if you acted upon the idea... It could turn into a brilliant resource for people learning PHP.

I'm not too sure, you'd have to ask mgraphic on that one as he made the PHP Challenge

A good way of practicing and not "wasting" your time is to create scripts you will use in the future in your personal library of functions... just an idea

This is a really good idea.

Anyone got any suggestions for some starting tasks? A "Hello World" variation maybe?

So this would just be php problems/assignments, preferably also with example solutions I assume? Not a tutorial or php school, just some tasks that others can practice on?

If someone does realize this idea I suggest each new task gets a thread of its' own and a sticky thread with links to all the tasks. It would be hard to organize if everything was in one thread, if we're on the 9th week and there is 5 new posts, each with a question about different tasks.
