Hello,

My website www.eletrobid.com is almost done, but my programmer told me this problem, the site (Complete) is running under HTTPS, but if you login using the facebook it will show an error (IE will show a pop up) it is look like that is missing something to get security, and he told me that is normal when is logged by facebook, but I did find some page with same options and run great with no errors.

So is he saying the true?

Thanks all.

BeJazus does the heading need to be that big?????

I had to move my chair away from my desk to avoid being blinded by it!!!!!!
Is your "designer" partially sighted by some chance?

A: Why would you need the entire site to be HTTPS?

B: you you will get security warnings when crossing from HHTPS to HTTP and if there are "insecure" items in the page or requested by the page.

Hello,
the header will be like that, because I will add few nice banners to announces the site promotions, for sure will not be ugly like that, as you can see "banner test". this site I had hard time with others programmers, so this guy is working now is just fixing some problem that others left.

A- at the begin (site creation 4 months ago) I was reading in some blog that if you have the complete site under HTTPS will get more confidently, I don't now if that is true, what you recommend to to with?

B- yes I know that part but that only happens in 2 parts in the page, when login by Facebook and earn free bids (only can see it after login)

please advice me what I nee to do, what is the best option for.

Thanks.

Complete and utter drivel!!!! Unecessary use of HTTPS increases server load slightly and reduces page response times

If you don't want visitors until launch date password protect the pages.

You only need SSL for handling financial information DIRECTLY, if you use paypal they are already secure.

Just a word of advice, SSL is handy when using Paypal if you want to host an image in the Paypal checkout header and also if you want to collect additional personal data from the user. It's also handy if you use the Paypal IPN.
