Maybe a dumb question, but what exactly are snippets?

Snippets are snippets of code. Small bits. Incomplete scripts, or just something so small/useless it could be coded yourself anyway.

If you're using REAL code, you don't need to INSTALL anything. That's why it's code. Copy and paste is your new installer.

Maybe should have been clearer, it was what the OP was meaning by "snippets"


The definition of snippets is "a small extract from a larger whole"

So there are:

Code snippets;
Text snippets;
song snippets;
snippets of fabric;
Snippets of a conversations;
snippets of time;

et cetra, et cetera,

however .....

Is this a PHP forum??? How come no one knows about snippets???
I am set all I need is to learn PHP ...

Because we do not know what YOU mean by "snippets" it is simply a term that means several things.
