Hello,

I'm owner of http://rocsquad.ho8.com/smurf/ It's a game website. I'm wanting to host some video demos of our players. The sizes will be around 16MB a piece. I have 7GB of bandwidth to work with, and the site alone is taking up 300ish MB a month.

I need to know if there's a way I can limit the number of times a video is downloaded so I don't exceed my bandwidth. I want it set to like 6.8GB or roughly 295 downloads a month.

Thanks.
-Alex

You'll need to put a facade file in front of the download which stores the count to a database then. Then after you reach some threshold which you will decide is "close enough," the facade no longer allows access to the file.

If you know PHP, that should be pretty easy to do. Let me know.
