I have been searching around for scripts that write information in id3 v2.3 tags but cannot hwlp. can advice on where to research to get more information?

Never heard of them. Can you give us some idea of what id3 v2.3 tags are?

id3 tags are what's stored in mp3 songs and contain information such as song title, artist, bitrate etc.

I've found PHP scripts to read the tags, but I don't know of any that will write them.

i found it at the php. net. but i do not know what they means by this.

Installation
id3 is part of PECL and can be installed using the PEAR installer. To compile PHP with id3 support, download the sourcecode, put it in php-src/ext/id3 and compile PHP using --enable-id3

i already have the pear files in my php folder already n i'm running php on windows. Therefore i do not know what this meant.

I found another script at www.getid3.org but then i 'm so confused why the example source codes cannot work. If anyone who have done this before, can please help? thanks.
