Can someone advise any software or how to back up mysql database as l have just lost all my database to my store that was hosted by web-mania and l dont want to have this happen again.

This is the second post today in this forum about a problem at Web Mania...

You need to get a better host....

I get VERY suspicious when I see posts here trying to be the low cost host.... You never get something for nothing....

I use a host that is reasonable priced (around $250 per year) but I chose them because of their services - They provide 24 / 7 technical support, guarantee 99:9 % uptime and provide daily back-ups to tape - - That frees me up to worry about my business, not my web host - - they do their business and I do mine....

I have multiple websites hosted with them (some for many years) and have never experienced an outage. Every time I get a new customer who wants a host or wants me to provide hosting, I always send them there....

I'll probably get slammed here for 'spending more money than is necessary' but I look at the expense this way - - My website is an advertising expense and so is the web hosting so I write it off on my taxes and I can sleep well knowing that all my websites are up and running - creating revenue for me and for my customers.
