hello all,
This is rakesh. I want to create a file which create folder and files on client local machine drives (C:/D:/). I want to create this file using php. i try to find material about file system mangement but materials all about remote host operations. how can i create file which create folder and file on user machines.
Is there any material available.
pls. do reply.

you can't create client-side folders using server-side code.

Java script is client side, but I don't think it has the ability to modify the filesystem since it is a huge security risk. If you know java then you could write an applet and go through the rigmarole of getting a security certificate for it, or alternatively just write some software in Java, C, VB whatever and get people to download it if they want to make use of it.
