I intend to get this book: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...591107-7487043

the reason is because i like the author and the way the book is set/laid out and the way the information/content is presented.

it doesnt have tons of explanations and lots of obring lines of text. it has simple short easily memorable short passages. i have another book by this author and i learnt the basics of PHP within a month (less than a month).

the thing is, this book that i want to get covers PHP 3 and 4 and mysql 3 and 4... im using PHP 5 and mysql 4

all i want to know is, what difference will this make?

Hi,

it seems a very good book.

Don't care about php3, it's obsolete ...
