I am trying to enter a cookie as a variable into a database. I can echo the variable on the page but how to I set the value to enter into database?

$x=$_COOKIE['user'];


***$username=$x


"Insert....bla bla bla

once that cookie is a variable ($x in this case), you can insert it like anything else:

mysql_query("INSERT INTO tableName VALUES ('$ID', '$x', '$otherVariable')");
