Hello,
I have just started a summer internship for my college, I took over the job of a longtime website builder who was suppossed to show me how to do things. Unforunately we skipped right through Php without me ever really understanding it. Now I am trying to work with a php file to make an order form that when submit is clicked will send the values typed in the feilds in an email (therefore placing an order.) Is there anyone who can A. Explain php and how it works to me (maybe some of the things it can do), and B. help me figure out the coding of my site so i can get it working?

Thanks so much,
Brandon

The best thing to do is pickup a book. PHP/MySQL for dummies is a good one. So is SAMS Teach yourself PHP in 24 hours.

http://www.php.net is a good resource. One of the best things about php.net is that you can look up every single function and see what they do, along with examples.

hotscripts.com has a lot of useful tutorials too:

www.sitepoint.com should help you out a fair bit, they have a pretty good guide to the whole of PHP too

You may find that each tutorial is different, but explaining the same thing. Unfortunantly with PHP there are a million and one ways of doing the same thing!
