Sorry if this has been covered before, but I need some help.
I'm a designer (not a programmer) so need some advice on message boards.

Can anyone recommend a good php board that we can completely customize to fit in with our clients site? Ideally, features would be: view user profile, the ability to send private messages to other users, and search by author/keyword (this would be a bonus but not neccesary).

Any help would be great! I'm based in UK if this helps?
And how much should I be paying for this?

i'm using wBBLite and XMB Forum.
I have used phpbb but wasn't a big fan of having to update every month or so :/.

I like phpBB cause i'd rather have the option to update to protect against new threats
