This is a very big issue that i need to resolve quickly..

Whenever i go to save a text file from notepage as .php it saves it as .php.txt

How can i sort this out

When you save, select it as "All files" not as a .txt !
Or you could always get dreamweaver...

Cheers i realised my mistake now, i saved it once before and hten whenver i rewrite it it does the same! lol..just reinstalled my cmoputer and havent writen a php file for a while normally editred my existing!

To save mouseclicks you can leave it set to text files, but write the filename in quotes - saving "page1.php" as a text file saves it with the .php extension - without the quotes you get the old problem.
