Hi

Im looking at setting up a site for specific users and I want to use the following types of things, but I want it all under one CMS so the users only need to sign up for each thing.

Im looking for the following to be included in it:

Forum
Classifieds
Photo Storage
Website Directory

Down the track I want to add more things like Auctions etc

Can you suggest anything? I was considering using PHPbb to run it all, but I am open to other suggestions too.

Thanks

It depends. With the free opensource CMS, you can add the features you want by either downloading plugins or making your own.

The best free CMS that matches your query has to be PHP-Nuke Platinum. It is a very feature packed CMS (/portal system) with most or all of your requests.

However, I prefer to use Mambo when it comes to free CMS and Macromedia Contribute when it envolves money.

Yeh, Im leaning towards Mambo as well.

Im not fazed by having to pay small fee's for some things too.

I had looked at PHP Nuke Platinum, but Im not a huge fan of PHPNuke....

Mambo is definitly the best CMS out there. And there are so many addons (both free and paid) that you can do pretty much whatever you need to with it.

Mambo..

It is a very sophisticated CMS...
for some people, mambo is too sophisticated..

There are alot of components for your needs.
