I want to find out what other people use PHP & MySQl for. I personally am developing an Online game with it, text based of course. However, I'd like to know what other people do with PHP & MySQL and if anyone else creates Online text-based games with them!

O and then making some super dynamic WebPages (that is php). hmmm mysql well now I just use this for the same reason as whatsis name OMU thingy. It is the memory in memory-less WebPages. I've built a database driven diary system for a band I play in that tracks our events, who is on the lineups, details of who plays what instrument etc. I also merged the user info in with a phpBB forum.
I've built a simple database to store details of homemade ice-creams that we made in a college society.
I've built a modification for phpBB that allows you to draw squiggles (or math formulae/diagrams/maps) into a JAVA applet and have it attach an image of what you drew to your post.
I'm working on a system to automatically compare two phpBB installations and generate a MOD file that will patch one to the other.
I redesigned/modified/added to a complex online ordering system for fairtrade products at University (several individual colleges would order from us, and a guy at oxfam was given his own admin interface to check the orders and get them sent out).
PHP and MySQL were the perfect tools for the job.
