Me and some mates are creating a video site but we don't know wich program/script language to use we already tried some but we don't know wich program is best for creating a video/picture site

Macromedia Flash 8 Professional , thats what I use to creat videos, intros, slide shows, etc.

if you don't know a scripting language just use an opensource script that will fit your needs.
http://www.hotscripts.com choose the scripting language that is supported on your hosting server (and check if you have the required database if needed).

If you were wanting to learn languages yourself (This could take quite a large amount of time, depending on your situation(s)) so you could do this on your own, the critical languages to know would be HTML, and PHP. MySQL would also be pretty critical.

A good website with tutorials on these languages would be www.w3schools.com
