Hi,

I'd like to rewrite the URLs for my phpBB forum so they become a little shorter.

How can I do this and what and where do I have to edit my phpBB installation?

Current topic URLs
http://thewebdesignjournal.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=#

Wanted topic URLs
http://thewebdesignjournal.com/forum/topic/#/ (page-#/)

Current forum URLs
http://thewebdesignjournal.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=#

Wanted forum URLs
http://thewebdesignjournal.com/forum/sub/#/ (page-#/)

The pagething aren't that important, but it would be great.

I've tried various rewrite mods, but I cannot get the URLs to become like I want. Could anyone come up with anything?

I'm using Apache.

DOH! let me explain. I have an admin panel for my site, some aspects i written myself, others not.

One option is seo support. If on pages are like page-variablevalue.htm else if off they are like page.php?variable=variablevalue

This is where i got idea from. Sorry, still relative newbie!
