That article may be of some help. I would strongly recommend against using an MS Access database, though.

I agree entirely, and thanks for the helpful link.

The reason I want to research this is that I have a job coming up that I know will involve migrating data from MS Access to MySQL, and I want to be fully conversant with the connection syntax etc for Access before I see the application (which is, as you would expect, pretty ancient!).
